Other photos

This is a photo I got from a fellow Porsche lover. I thought it made a great cover too.

Midterm Collage

For my Midterm Collage I chose Ramesses II for my subject. I my collage I used am image of the Sahara desert ii found on the internet. I also found an Image of Ramesses from one of his many temples. The illustration in the foreground is a copy of one found in his tomb. The last object is his cartouche. To get the effect I wanted I had to make separate masks for the inner and outer elements of the cartouche.

Prague

Prague, Christmas Day 2003. This image was taken from the a garden path near Prague Castle. It was 29ยบ outside and I was on my was to the train station to return to Dresden. In this image I am trying to give a scene of how cold it was on this day. To do that I adjusted down the light levels to darken the shadows. I then increased the saturation and hue to bring up the red tones in the roofs. Finally I created a mask to allow me to further increase the hue and saturation in the late afternoon sky.

Dresden

This image is of one of my favorite cities, Dresden. This image of the statue "Goodness" was taken by the German photographer Richard Peter. The scene is of Dresden's "Old City" taken after the bombing of February 1945. The text is from a memorial in Dresden honoring the 25,000 to 35,000 people, mostly women and children, who died in the bombing.

Duotone Diver

This image is a Duotone. I created this duotone from two separate images. The background is of the Monterey coast line taken while returning from a diving trip. The diver in the foreground was not part of the original image and was added in later. I found the diver by searching images on the internet. Because the Diver and the coast line were taken separately, both the foreground and back ground are in focus.
